I have to say, I love the relaxed nature of a village pub wedding! As a Cotswold wedding photographer there are so many wonderful venues and ample opportunities for natural photos.
For Morag and Dan, their blessing took place in the garden of the Fox Inn, as Morag walked in to the sound of bagpipes playing. Then over course of the afternoon their guests were able to wander back and forth between the cosy indoor pub and the relaxed outdoor space complete with hay bales and beautiful fabrics. Oh and the cake – it really was beautiful. A naked cake adorned with fruits and berries! It was such a special day, and we even found a little overgrown stream in the village for a few couple shots, plus a few with their adorable baby girl. For me you can’t beat a wedding in the Cotswolds, and especially not a sweet village pub.
I really must say that Ed and Dominique, who run the Fox Inn at Broadwell were lovely to work with. And we even got chatting about our joint love of photography. The village of Broadwell is a real hidden gem, so even if you’re not planning a wedding it’s well worth a stop by for a West Country cider in the pub garden on a hot summer’s day.
I hope that gives you plenty of inspiration if you’re planning a Cotswolds village pub wedding. If you’re looking for another beautiful wedding venue in the Cotswolds, then take a look at the Tithe Barn at Stanway House. Here is a wedding I photographed there in the spring.
