Welcome to one of my favourite venues in Rutland – as a local photographer Normanton Church is right on my doorstep and was the perfect location for Lucy and Jason’s wedding ceremony. Their reception was down the road at Barnsdale Lodge which was so cosy and inviting with the fairy lights, just perfect for their autumn wedding. As it was October, Lucy and Jason perfectly planned their day around the available light. This meant that there was plenty of unhurried time for chatting with friends. There was also lots of time for family shots and some relaxed, natural couple shots too. As always, I love it when weddings are a family occasion. Keep your eyes peeled for lots of sweet photos of the flower girls.

It was so wonderful to shoot at Rutland Water, and was a joy to be Lucy and Jason’s photographer. Here are a few highlights from their stunning day. Keep a look out for the Cafe au Lait dahlias that Jason’s dad grew in his own garden. They looked beautiful in the bouquet by the Botanical Flower Studio and this soft colour palette may just be one of my favourites.
