WHERE DO YOUR SHOOTS TAKE PLACE?
Through the questionnaire, together we will design a few activities based on what you love doing as a family. Usually this will start at home, whether that is playtime, trampoline antics or making a cake together. For families with babies or small children the whole shoot is best taking place at home. For older children, heading out on an adventure for half the shoot can be good idea to let out some energy.
What do the timings look like?
I always recommend setting aside 2 hours, this allows plenty of unhurried time and takes into account any feeds or mini-meltdowns. The chances are it will be between 1 - 2 hours.
WE LOVE YOUR RELAXED STYLE BUT CAN WE HAVE ONE OR TWO WHERE EVERYONE’S LOOKING AT THE CAMERA.
In between documentary photos, I'll bring you all together a few times to grab some photos of you all together as a family. We'll have a couple of opportunities for this throughout the shoot.
How do we pick a shoot date?
Just get in touch by email here and I will send you a link to my online calendar. Please note that I cannot hold any dates without signed terms and conditions and a paid booking fee.
OUR HOUSE IS in a bit of a muddle - SHOULD WE WAIT OR USE SOMEWHERE ELSE?
For me, perfection isn't important. Your home right now is the hub of your family life. I want you to have photos that you'll look back on in 20 years time and remember the good stuff - the precious, fun, crazy, comical, real, tender times. Houses hit by toddler tornados are welcome!
WHAT IF THE KIDS PLAY UP/have a wobbly?
Don’t worry it’s totally fine with me, children will be children the world over, it’s no reflection on you. We’ve got plenty of time on the shoot to allow time to ride it out. The best strategy is to decide ahead of time how you will react if the kids play up and not to worry about it.
WHEN DO WE GET TO SEE THE IMAGES?
Not long! Your private online gallery will be ready within 3 weeks of your shoot date for you to view. The gallery will be online for 7 days for you to buy a package of digital images and prints.
What if it rains?
If it is raining then shoots will need to take place indoors. If your heart is set on an outdoor shoot then together we can find an alternative mutually convenient date.
